Summary

FoxoVPN works without a FoxoVPN account. The app does not require registration, device binding, referral, wallet, or a support-ticket account system.

Data Processed On Device

The app may process VPN and proxy configuration, locally cached free nodes, selected node, subscription state, app preferences, and diagnostic logs generated by the app and networking core.

Free Nodes

FoxoVPN fetches free node configuration from configured remote sources. The fetched configuration is decrypted in the app and cached locally so users can view and select nodes before connecting.

Advertising

The free version may display in-app ads. Ads may be provided by third-party advertising SDKs such as Google AdMob. These providers may process device identifiers, app activity, ad interaction data, approximate location signals, diagnostics, and other data described in their own policies. Where required, FoxoVPN requests advertising consent before requesting ads.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are used only to remove in-app ads. FoxoVPN checks purchase and restore events through the platform billing framework and stores subscription status needed for the app experience. FoxoVPN does not currently perform FoxoVPN server-side receipt validation, account entitlement syncing, or premium-node unlocking.

VPN Permission And Network Traffic

FoxoVPN uses the operating system VPN permission to route traffic through the selected VPN/proxy configuration. Network traffic is handled by the local VPN/proxy core and the selected remote node.

Camera Permission

FoxoVPN may request camera access when the user chooses to scan a QR code for importing configuration. Camera access is used for that scan action and is not used for advertising.

Installed Apps And Per-App Routing

FoxoVPN may display installed apps when the user configures per-app routing. This information is used only to let the user choose which apps should use or bypass the VPN connection. FoxoVPN does not sell installed-app inventory data.

Data Sharing

FoxoVPN may share limited data with app store billing services, advertising providers, diagnostic tools if enabled, and remote configuration hosts used to fetch free node lists.

User Controls

Users can subscribe to hide ads, restore purchases, clear app data, disconnect the VPN, or uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device.
